Silla University (신라대학교, Silla University), was founded in 1954. It is a prestigious private university famous for its tradition and history. The school is located in Busan, the second largest city and the largest port city in South Korea. In 1997, the name of the school was changed from "Pusan Women's University" to "Silla University", and the school system was changed to coeducational. Silla University currently has 7 single colleges and 4 graduate schools, with more than 60 majors in total, and a total of more than 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students. It has been selected as one of the "Top Ten Scenic Campuses in South Korea"; "The Four Green Education Institutions in South Korea"; and "One of the Eight Korean Language Education Institutes in South Korea".
